Sponge Machines & Ancillaries We supply a range of indoor & outdoor sponge machines from Refina & Berta which are suitable for cleaning epoxy & cement grouts such as UltraScape Flowpoint from quarry tiles, external paving slabs, natural stone and granite setts. Our range of sponge machines protects the joints between paving slabs by avoiding washing away the cement, whilst the machine removes the need for individuals to wash away grout on their hands and knees. Then, mix thoroughly until the mixture has a creamy consistency. This will take between 4 and 6 minutes. Do not exceed 6 minutes mixing. Shortcutting this process can seriously affect the outcome of the installation. Easy Joint is available in five different colours, all of which emulate the natural colours of the Sandstone Paving we have available. Do not use a pressure washer on the paving for at least 4 weeks after EASY Joint’s application. Always use a fan type nozzle at a 45 degree angle and no closer than 15 cms / 6 inches to avoid removing the jointing material from between your slabs. Is EASYJoint suitable for patios and driveways? Easyjoint can be used in wet or dry conditions and is sold in a 12.5kg tub which will cover an average of 7m² depending on slab size and joint width. Although not strictly necessary with most paving grouts, sealing slabs prior to using EASYJoint Pro will ensure that any salts or residue that may be drawn up through the mortar bed are limited, and also any shiny residue does not appear on the face of the slabs due to the epoxy resin in the compound. The risk of not sealing is that you may end up with a picture frame of stains around the edge of your paving slabs, or patchy efflorescence. The same rules apply when working with porcelain paving tiles as with working with stone or concrete.
